YES Final Approval to commence Building received 27.11.15. We hope to have the Slab down before Christmas and shell up by end February.

Raffle Tickets on Sale at Imperial Centre Gosford Wednesday 2nd December .
Members Christmas get together Friday 18th December 9.30am Bring your, Wife, Partner, Girlfriend,
 Lover and a Plate (Salad, Chicken, Cake) Sausage Sizzle provided (Long and Short Order Cooks on site)

Shed will close Friday 18th December 2015 and will reopen Monday 4th January 2016.

EVENTS Update

The National Corroboree is being held on Terrigal Beach Tuesday 20th October from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
Together with The Entrance, Mannering Park and Wyong Mens Sheds, we will be cooking up such culinary delights as Crocadile, Emu and Wallaby from 5.00pm to 5.45pm.
As yet we still have no word on approval to commence building our new shed at the Showground.
Next Sausage Sizzle 14th & 15th November at Bunnings Erina.

A Fund Raising Sausage Sizzle will  be held at Bunnings Warehouse West Gosford on Sunday 9th August. Helpers are needed for this event. Please see Paul if you wish to attend.
No news as to when the Minister will sign the Lease so that we can commence building at Gosford Showgrounds, hopefully it will not be much longer.

SHED UPDATE

We are still awaiting the go ahead from the Lands Dept so that we can get on with the task of building our new shed.
Meanwhile the Men are busy working on Community Projects and assisting our Local Residents with repairs to furniture, constructing a tank for the Steiner School to house their colony of Stick Insects etc.

We have had  a Ford Transit Van donated by Coast Shelter for which we are extremely grateful  and are seeking  a Sponsor for the Rego and Insurance Costs each year. If you can assist please contact us on 0466266083 or email gosfordshed@gmail.com

The new Management of Goodyear Tyre Service in Donnison Street Gosford assisted us by supplying 2 New Tyres, repairing the steering rack and doing a wheel alignment and wheel cylinder repair at a very generous price we thank them for their assistance and highly recommend them for your auto service needs.

Gosford ANZAC Service Saturday 18th April 2015

The City of Gosford turned out in force to remember those who served 100 years ago and all who followed and made their contribution in all  conflicts since.

Gosford Community Mens Shed was proud to contribute by constructing the Flame of Rememberance for Gosford RSL to be placed in Gosford City Stadium for this event.

EASTER HOLIDAY BREAK MEMBERS UPDATE.

The Shed will close at Midday Monday 30th March 2015 and reopen 6.30am Friday 10th April 2015.
A Fund raising Sausage Sizzle will be held at Bunnings West Gosford on Tuesday 7th April 2015. Volunteers are needed to help man the BBQ.

SHED UPDATE

We are well underway with our plans to relocate to Gosford Showgrounds.
The original Plans approved by Council have to be redrawn and submitted to Council as an ammended DA due to the reduced size as agreed by the Showground Trust Committee.
It will now be 21m wide by 16.4m deep. This is adequate for our needs, will be more disabled friendly and will cater for all of our activities.

Once approved, it will be full steam ahead with all hands on deck to help with the fitout.
Unfortunately, we did not receive the Grant of $40k for the fitout so we will have to sell a few more sausages and attend more markets to help us achieve our goal.

Many thanks to Chris Holstein M.P , Lucy Wicks M.P. and Laurie Maher and Coast Shelter for your valuable assistance in helping us in our endeavours.

On Saturday 14th March some of the Men from the Shed went along to Bunnings West Gosford  to put together a setting for the Gosford PreSchool. The Materials were kindly donated by Bunnings.

SHED UPDATE

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.
WELL WE ARE OFF TO A GREAT START. ON THURSDAY 11th JANUARY WE HAD A VISIT FROM THE MINISTER FOR MENTAL HEALTH THE HON. JAI ROWEL HE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE MEMBER FOR GOSFORD CHRIS HOLSTEIN MP AND THE CANDITATES FOR TERRIGAL ADAM CROUCH AND THE ENTRANCE MICHAEL SHARPE.
THE OCCASION WAS THE PRESS RELEASE OF THE GOOD NEWS THAT WE WERE SUCCESSFUL IN OUR APPLICATION FOR THE COMMUNITY BUILDERS GRANT AND WILL RECEIVE $52,000 TOWARDS THE BUILDING OF OUR NEW SHED AT THE GOSFORD SHOWGROUND.
WE STILL REQUIRE FURTHER FUNDING AND HOPE THAT LOCAL BUSINESSES WILL OFFER ASSISTANCE EITHER FINANCIALLY OR BY DONATING MATERIALS OR SERVICES TO THE CAUSE.
OVER THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE COOKED A LOT OF SAUSAGES TO BOOST OUR BUILDING FUND AND AT LONG LAST WORK WILL SOON COMMENCE.
