Gosford Men's Shed Christmas Raffle results for 2018.

1st prize winner of the restored rocking horse was: Colin O'Malley of Lisarow

2nd prize winner of the restored garden bench was: Brian Symington of Umina Beach.

3rd prize winner of the timber coffee table was: Arlene of East Gosford.

4th prize winner of the framed print was: Rachel.

All prizes have been claimed, thank you to all whom supported us with this endeavour.

Thank you to Eagles Plumbing, West Gosford, for the generous donation again this year after a successful golf day. The money will go towards 2 new machines to be purchased in the new year.
We are extremely grateful to Eagles Plumbing and all the other local suppliers for the ongoing support.

Just a note to thank eveyone for your your support over the past 9 years.

I know that we have helped many Men overcome their isolation and depression and have been and will continue to be of assistance to the Community.

It has been my pleasure to have been involved in the setting up of the Gosford Community Mens Shed and seeing the completion of the new Building.

Gosford Community Mens Shed is holding a Garage Sale as part of the Garage Sale Trail on Saturday 20th October and Sunday 21st October in the Shed at the Gosford Showground Carpark  1 Glennie Street West, Gosford. Tools, Corded Power Tools, Pushbikes, Bric a Brac etc.

Whats happening in The Shed.

The Shed is now fully operational and since the Opening has gained a number of new Members.

The Saws and Thicknessers are humming, the Welder is arcing up , Jim is busy with the Bikes and Peter is putting the finishing touches to the Dolls House. Small wooden toys are appearing.
.
Overall, the place is a hive of activity.

Many thanks to Ian Johnson for picking up our new Rip Saw from Hare & Forbes.

If there is a Cake Shop in Gosford, Wyoming or Lisarow who would like to contribute to our Morning Teas, it will be greatly appreciated just call 0466 266 083 to arrange pickup.

At the moment we are in the Shed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7.30am until around 1.00pm.

Officially Opened At Last

The Shed was Officially Opened on Saturday 16th June 2018 by Mr Laurie Maher OAM and was well attended by around 150 People who joined in the celebrations.

The weather was fine and after the formalities our guests enjoyed some Lamb, Beef or Pork served up by David The Spit Roast Guru.

It is all systems go now on Monday,Wednesday and Friday Mornings  0800 till 1230

Once again, thank you all for your valuable contributions and help.

Change of Status

As from 8am Wednesday 4th April 2017 the Shed will become OPERATIONAL.
We will now be able to commence normal business.

SHED UPDATE

Well after a long time, we are almost over the Finish Line.
The Ramps and railings ar now complete. The Drainage is finished.
We have now applied to Council for our Final Inspection for our Occupancy Certificate to be issued.
Unfortunately, I have been struck down by the dreaded Shingles and will be out of action for some time.
Larry Lloyd has done a remarkable job throughout the Project and is to be commended for his efforts.
