Its Official

After Months in the making, Gosford Community Men's Shed had it's Official Opening on Friday 19th November 2010. The Hon Member for Robertson Deborah O'Neill officiated and declared the Shed opened.

Some 100 Guests, Sponsors and Members attended . Although the weather was not the best, the Day was an outstanding success. NBN Television covered the event . As a result another 4 Members were signed up on Monday. Congratulations to all who contributed on the Day, a job well done.

Gosford Shed Update

How time flies.

It has been a while since our last update,
The Shed is 95% complete. Dust Extraction Equipment has been received and is now ready for installation.
All Electrical equipment has been checked and tagged.
We now have 68 Members and are averaging attendance of 23 Men on Mondays and Fridays.
Thanks to those Members who attended A Walk In The Park on Wednesday 13.10.10. a Fun Day was had see pics attached.
We have been helping out renovating The Arts Barn at Kariong and making Possum, Micro Bat and Bird Breeding Boxes for the RTA Project.
Our Shed is a friendly one where everyone pitches in to help each other.

TO BE VARIED DEPENDING ON NUMBERS AND DEMAND.

MEMBERSHIP FEES $10.00 P.A.AND $2 ATTENDANCE FEE  EACH VISIT TO COVER OPERATING COSTS.

NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS, NO SMOKING IN THE SHED.

APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.

(NO SANDALS OR THONGS PERMITTED)

GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, COME ALONG AND JOIN A GROUP OF MEN IN THE SHED WITH COMMON INTERESTS IN WOODWORK AND METALWORK OR SIMPLY HAVE A CUPPA AND A CHAT.

BUILD YOUR OWN PROJECTS (BYO MATERIALS) OR HELP OUT WITH COMMUNITY PROJECTS (MATERIALS SUPPLIED).

Work is progressing on the setup of the Shed with the Woodwork and Metal Sheds nearing completion.
Thanks to the dedicated Members who have been busy working for the past Months on a Monday & Friday Morning putting it all together, the opening date is fast approaching.
We are now progressing with the setup of the upstairs Meeting Room & Office .
